Employee Retaliation Claims under Montana & Federal Law

This presentation will cover many aspects of employee retaliation claims under Montana and federal law. This will include the various forms of retaliation claims and their elements, the claims process, damages, and ways that employers can mitigate the risk of retaliation claims.

Isaac Kantor - Kantor Law Firm

Isaac Kantor was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He graduated from the University of Montana with honors and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies. Isaac spent a year as a crisis relief worker for the Western Montana Mental Health Center before starting law school at the University of Montana in 2004.

While in law school, Isaac was a member of the National Moot Court team that was selected to compete nationally in New York City. Isaac graduated from law school with high honors in 2007, and spent the next two years as a law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Carolyn Ostby in Billings, Montana.

After his clerkship, Isaac practiced law for nearly a decade at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson in Missoula before deciding to open his own practice. Isaac launched Kantor Law Firm in 2019. He concentrates his practice on employment and labor law, insurance claims, and business law. Isaac is admitted to practice in all Montana state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Court.

Isaac lives in the mountains outside of Missoula with his wife, their three children, and a small menagerie of dogs, chickens, and sheep. In their spare time, the family enjoys Montana’s outdoors, including backpacking, floating rivers, skiing, and running.
